I don't have chickens yet. Hoping to have them with in a 6-9 months!! I don't think I could eat one of my chickens (when we do have them)!! I always get the Sanderson Farms chicken. Hooters has the best chicken wings tho. (extra cripsy and hot sauce) ;-) Bojangles has the best fried chicken- but havent seen any of those since I was stationed in NC.

It seems as if a lot of fried chicken outlets have gone to a "no salt, no flavor" recipe. Also, they now seem to fry in some sort of funky oil that gives people diarrhea. It is the fault of all those food nuts that don't want people enjoying flavor.

I stand four square behind salt and lard, or better yet bacon grease.

What really turned me off on fast food chicken was what they put in those instant mashed potatoes they sell to people - - UREA!

They're all vile! I suspect that none of you would allow your chickens to be raised the ones you eat are. Factory farming is horrendous. If I could kill it, I'd eat it because I know it had a good life. Because I can't kill it I don't eat it.

Yes, I must agree with those who say the best, cleanest chicken is the one you raise yourself.

While traveling, I'm not opposed to a good Pop Eye's, but still. No doubt one's own raised birds beat anything you can buy from any grocery store or fast food outlet.
