Kicked out of another site

I was referred to another chicken forum and went in to check it out. I saw a few names I recognized and read a few posts. I saw one that was just a rant against BYC basically and read through and saw a member here who doesn't like the "censorship" issues here because they can't use the language they want to and a huge rail against Christians. He kept saying that he only wanted to engage in chicken talk but was not able to because the threads were hijacked by Christians and he just went on a very long rant bashing Christians and anyone who uses the Name of GOD or the Word of GOD in their signature but he was free to go off on those people anytime he felt. Well I acknowledged that I am a Christian and challenged him on bashing the Christians and not just talking chickens while he continued to flame a thread that had nothing to do with religion to start with without talking chickens himself and after that 1 post I now can not log back into that site. Tried requesting a new password to see if that was the problem but after 3 new passwords I still am not allowed to log back onto that sorry site, Good riddance. For the most part that thread was people complaining that they were locked out of this site or were not welcomed well here and such and then after I answered 1 bashing Christians they did the same thing they were crying about. So go ahead repo flame me up here. I did not post in the chicken talk threads and in your own words if you don't like it don't read it and go away. Oh yeah I ended that post with Have a Blessed day just like I do here and with everyone I talk to, guess that was hurtful too. OK that was longer than I thought but I just needed to vent a little. Look, it can be good to vent and all that, I can certainly understand your annoyance and frustration...

...but would it please be possible to NOT drag uncivil pointless running arguments elsewhere back home to this site?

The mods have enough to do to keep it from erupting on its own here... I really don't see it needs to be intentionally *imported*, eh? ;>

Beeky, I am sorry this happened to you.

At least here people get talked to and warnings before banning. We also do many temporary bans and even then banned members get another chance, especially when they beg to come back and promise to abide by the rules here. Unfortunately sometimes they fail to follow through on their word and we have no choice but to follow through on ours.

Another thing to keep in mind about bannings here at BYC. It is never done in the heat of the moment. The staff discusses it and after a cool down period, we then as a group, agree to ban. It is not a decision taken lightly. There have been less than a handful of permanent bans here. The ones done immediately are spammers that are trying to sell performance enhancers and I-Pods and such like that.
There are always two sides to every story and issues go on outside the public view...that needs to be kept in mind as well.
