kid friendly geese??

The homestead I work on has a couple geese. Not sure of the type, but the male, man, if he could get his beak on me I'm sure it wouldn't be pretty. Every time he sees me, it looks like he's a low flying jet, coming in for a rough landing on me.

thanks for the replies. from what i understand is that geese can be trained just like most domesticated animals and you can train a goose not to bite or attack. basically you have to establish that you are the dominate goose and aren't going to take anything off of those lower in the pecking order. just what i read.

I always had ducks and shied away from geese until I broke down and got a Sebastopol.
They are very docile and friendly. Also, they spoil easily! They might hiss if frightened, but if treated well never bite. The will run away first.

think i am going to put in an order for some africans and brown chinese at randall burkey tommorrow. i am going to have a weed problem this year and the geese will probably take care of it.
