I think we all agree that MOST of the time, kids and chickens really bond which is pretty cute. My nine year old DD has quite a relationship with our three pet hens. She carries them around, swings with them on the swingset (!!!) and has taught them to "trick or treat" at the sliding door for Cherrios. She wants to make them little clothes! My sons are content carrying them around (it's pretty funny to see the little 5-year-old trying to carry an armfull of Buff Orpington) or chasing them around.
