Kids say the darnedest things!

My littest one (3) came running to her Daddy that there was a Spider and it was "Freakin her ooouuut!!"
So cute in her little voice. Up until very recently she was PETRIFIED of ants and she spot one and come running with the "Freakin me out!" thing. Then I taught her to squish them (before you jump on me, they were inside the house not in their natural habitat! Fair game!) and now she isn't afraid of them anymore, it only took her about a year to realize that she was much bigger than a ant and that little bitty black ants won't hurt you. Now she tries to hold them, and ends up squishing them more often than not.

She calls Horsies, Horkeys. I love that.

For eons her older sister called Towels, Tobels. Loved that too!

That reminds me of how my little one says horse. It's not 'horsey', it's 'horswee'. And it's not 'horses' it's 'hor-says'.

Things like this need to be kept in a memories book, they only do cute stuff for a while, then they turn into teenagers!

How funny! Reminds me of my soon to be 13y/o daughter, when she was like 3, she saw her daddy coming out of the shower, and ask very seriously, "whats that sticking out?" The hubby and I about died! Kids can be so cute!

That is funny!

When my oldest dd was 3 (she is 10 now) first took a bath with her cousin who was a boy and a baby (maybe a year old) She looked down at him and said "Moma, WHAT is that??!" We almost died laughing! LOL I don't even remeber what we told her or what happend after that - her saying that is all I can remember. That was funny.

When my daughter was almost 5 (she's 9 now) she overheard me telling my mom that I was such a light sleeper. She proceeded to tell my mom that her daddy was a dark sleeper. She just didn't know that the correct term was sound sleeper. She obviously knew that the opposite of light was dark so it must be correct with what she said, but she couldn't figure out why me and my mom were laughing with what she said. It cracks me up everytime I think of it!

My 2 1/2 yr old son also thinks that belly buttons are called a "poke" because that's what my 9yr old daughter says about his belly button if he doesn't have a shirt on, at bathtime, etc. So, when he sees anyone in a bathing suit he points to their belly button and says "poke". So cute.

My 3 yr old had a real BOY day yesterday...

First he stepped on a fencing staple, but it diddnt do much. The he fell backwards off the slide into the chicken fence. Then he stepped on a piece of baling wire, and stuck it into his foot 1/2 inch. (New rule: Shoes!!)

So last night he was walking into our room, and he walked right into the door knob.

He just looked at me and sighed, "Awww, MAN! I'm tired of this!!"

My young son rode with me to take our kitten, Benny, to the vet to be neutered (8 years ago). When we were almost at the vet's office, my son cried out, "Oh...WHY does Benny have to have his tentacles taken off?!". We still laugh about that!!
