Probably.Nasty! Aren’t there health violation rules?
I live in a very small town (population 28) that is on the edge of a slightly larger town. Nobody cares so nobody says anything.

Thanks for all the adive!!Most youth organizations have provisions for service projects of that scale - including fund-raising. Are you a member of Scouts or 4H? If not, do you know someone who is? It would make an awesome Eagle, Gold or Clover Award Project. You would be a great resource for them - and part of the labor they're supposed to recruit.
The other option is to approach the owners and offer to do the planning and labor if they'll supply the materials. However you approach them, be sure to make it positive ... as in, "Everything else hear looks so nice and the animals look so happy. I'd love to help you fix up the small animals are, too. If you supply the materials, I'll donate my time!"
If they let you, let us know. I'll be happy to share ideas on how to get youth organizations (and pet stores!) to help with donations. I'm sure others here have good ideas, too - and you could write a cool article about it for BYC - complete with pictures!
If it was almost a year ago why are you thinking about it again suddenly just out of curiosity? I thought you had recently visited haha I bet they either updated or got rid of them by now. Also they might be meat/production type rabbits and not want toys or whatever for them. They could probably have bigger cages though if they haven’t already. Also tanks are really not good for mice and rats. Not enough ventilation so they can get respiratory problems. Appropriate size cages are best. Thanks for all the adive!!
I'm bit in 4H right now but I've been thinking about doing that. Then I could have people help work on it. I have a bad memory and this was last fall that I went there do I'm not sure how much constipation type work will need to be done.. I'll definitely go visit before asking about it though. Whi knows, they may have updated it by now.
Sorry for any typos, we're out on the boat and my phone is in a waterproof thing, and the glare isn't helping lol
That does not look good!! Stay safe!View attachment 2303006
Its getting stormy
They were pets that had been surrendered to them. My friend lives really close to that place, I asked her and she said nothing had really changed. I think about them often but we were always busy last year with Rosie being a puppy. If it doesn't work out then I'd like to do something similar somewhere else.If it was almost a year ago why are you thinking about it again suddenly just out of curiosity? Like I said, I dont know a lot about mice and rats but when I get back today I'll be sure to do lots of research. I just said tank for lack of a better work really. I could said cage but I don't know about mice so... oopsies.
