Kiki's found horse eggs—experiment Round 2

Okay, I will remember that.

Planning is all well and good right now, but I still have to clear the obstacle of my parents.
My dad is out of town. Poor dad. He will have to come home to this masterpiece of an idea.
Hopefully, as an engineer, he will be more proud of what you accomplished, than angry that you now have hatching eggs at the house. Just don't put your self in a bad position with your parents. That is really never a good idea! Good luck, thoughts and prayers are with you that it all works out as you would like.

OCHO!
I didn't take these horse eggs from anyone.
These really are "wild" not owned by anyone...just running around chickens.
I don't think you can just take the eggs.
I think you have to ask since they are her turkeys to begin with.

HALT: quick question

My boss actually wants to breed these turkeys. How will taking two eggs that are NOT being brooded affect the hens' abilities to breed this season?
WAIT.
Does the turkey lay a clutch first...THEN go sit on them?

Who raises turkeys here?

Yes you really need to ask!! Since they belong to her. Hopefully, since no one is sitting on them she won't mind.

 Tell her!
She won't mind.
My boss is male.

Okay, the more I think about it I will ask my parents BEFORE I even collect the eggs. I work Monday, too and my dad will be home tomorrow.

Thoughts? Should I leave the eggs sitting outside for that long? My boss will probably be back by Monday. I don't think he will be all that positive about me trying to hatch some eggs. I'm hesitant to ask because they aren't my birds.

Look.
Wait til the boss gets back.
Tell him you would like to try hatching two turkey eggs.
Ask him if you could buy two off of him.
Offer him a few dollars.

If he says yes then ask your dad if you can do this experiment.

You don't have turkey eggs now so worst case is he says no. and you are no worse off than before you asked!
