Mine is only heavy if its below my waist and wet. Hasn't been that long in quite awhile due to being cut off due to mourning.

Mine sits about shoulder length even when it reaches the middle of my back when wet. Too many waves and curls.

I got very good at french braiding my hair back when I was doing martial arts seriously. There's little worse than coming out of a roll and trying to stand up on your hair.
