I haven’t truly been off, I’ve been watching TV but then this storm distracted me I think it’s starting to move on though haha I wish I could capture it though. I tried to record it but it just doesn’t capture it accurately hahah you know, the power and just how loud it is/was and the whole sky lighting up and everything. It just shows as little blips haha it’s getting more spaced out and quieter now though so I think it’s moving on. It’s actually super relaxing and making me fall asleep.

I didn’t think it was big at first, just some rain, but then the rain started getting louder and heavier, and then the storm really started picking up. I think it was right over us for a while or else very close. HUGE flashes that light up the entire sky and super loud booms and long low rumbles, etc. now I’m still seeing flashes but further away and the rain has slowed and large delay between flash and rumble if I hear the rumbles at all so I think it moved on haha but it’s powerful enough that I can still see the flashes. They’re big. It was super intense earlier when it’d be this huge super bright flash then a huge boom.

It only lasted like maybe an hour though??? Maybe 2??? Cause the rain started for a bit before it and then slowly picked up and then the storm part didn’t last too too long but we never get big storms like that. Usually only maybe a few rumbles but no flashes so this was super cool to me. Especially having the clearing and being able to see so much haha

I just heard another rumble so maybe not fully gone yet haha

Anyway, I think I’m gonna go to bed now. I’m sleepy because of the rain.

But it was so cool having the windows and curtains wide open and being able to see it. We have huge windows in this room so I could see a lot.

It was almost scary earlier but not really. It was so powerful I was mostly just amazed

And then now that it’s died down it’s just super relaxing because the sky is just like a slow pulse right now. The occasional rhythmic flash of light with the steady drizzle of the rain and the faint undertone of the frogs and insects underneath it all. I can hear the frogs and crickets if I listen closely.

It’s very very relaxing now as opposed to the loud, intense, powerful display earlier. It’s now putting me to sleep.

I have been doing DH’s since March. Luckily he is fine with just a buzzcut.
