The yellow one has a single comb.
If he ends up with poofs as an adult then his dad is an Easter Egger (Araucana or Ameraucana crossed with whatever).
This is because the single comb is recessive so his dad carries a copy for it. Pure muffed Araucanas and Ameraucanas have pea combs which should be homozygous dominant. If they are crossed EE where one of his parents had a single comb, then he would be Heterozygous dominant, thus allowing for his chick(s) to have a single comb. Follow my gist?

Therefore, because we know who the mom is, I am certain that the father is an Easter Egger.

The father had muffs, which was passed to his chicks. He was heterozygous for a pea comb, meaning he likely was not a purebred Araucana or Ameraucana. Because he carried the single comb gene, one of his parents likely has a single comb.

It'd be great to input parent traits and breed info and get baby results. Then also be able to say what a hatchling has and get possible parentage.

That would be a crap ton of work. I saw some post a couple days ago about possibly starting a genetics calculator on byc, maybe you should consider that? You obviously know your stuff. If I had any interest in it then I think it’d be a fun project, but it’s not really my thing.

I'm following that thread.
What @FlyingNunFarm was asking for is different from the genetics calculator proposed in that thread. This calculator would have to work backwards. Perhaps this feature could be integrated into that genetics calculator.
I have a whole team of people that I know who code. They may be able to help.
