I just went to move some clothes from the washer to the dryer because I heard the washer finish.
I remember putting the soap in. Looks like I forgot to add the clothes.:th

Okay this confirms what I told you earlier, Kiki.
The male has muffs and a single comb. The female has muffs and a pea comb.

Therefore, because we know who the mom is, I am certain that the father is an Easter Egger.

The father had muffs, which was passed to his chicks. He was heterozygous for a pea comb, meaning he likely was not a purebred Araucana or Ameraucana. Because he carried the single comb gene, one of his parents likely has a single comb.

Single comb is recessive. Both parents need the gene in order for the baby to get it. Both parents are heterozygous for pea/ single comb.

I'm being a bit tongue-in-cheek. Do what makes sense for you. You have our support.
Local feed store did just get new chicks in today.

Kiki, are you set up to brood these chicks for a couple weeks? Do you have room for them as adults?

I'm trying to help balance the scales.
I can't keep them.
