Okay this confirms what I told you earlier, Kiki.
Single comb is recessive. Both parents need the gene in order for the baby to get it. Both parents are heterozygous for pea/ single comb.Okay this confirms what I told you earlier, Kiki.
The male has muffs and a single comb. The female has muffs and a pea comb.
Therefore, because we know who the mom is, I am certain that the father is an Easter Egger.
The father had muffs, which was passed to his chicks. He was heterozygous for a pea comb, meaning he likely was not a purebred Araucana or Ameraucana. Because he carried the single comb gene, one of his parents likely has a single comb.
