I married an army man. That dude will eat anything I put in front of him.Been There ... Done That ... I spent my 18th BD at West Point, as the guest of my Best Friend's brother. I spent my 21'st at the Naval Academy with another friend and her fiance. I've spent time in both sides of the stands at Army/Navy games ... and both were pretty cool! I actually came very close to marrying a Middie, but the Marines' and the Seals' had to have him, first. He was never the same again. PTSD really did a number on him. He's so "lost" that it's hard for him to carry on a conversation. It's so sad!
Still, I live near a big Army base & volunteer with the HS Marching Band at out local VFW, so who knows? I'd date military again in a heartbeat. They're good, solid people ... well, except for my Seal buddy - but there were extenuating circumstances, there.
My kids always had to eat one bite. Just one bite & they could even wash it down if they wanted.
When I was a kid they’d make us eat the entire amount they put on our plate & we were not allowed to wash it down. My parents were sadistic.
