1st oak tree just came down right in the middle of the yard.

Sorry about your trees, Sealer. The loss of a mature oak sounds awful to me, but then we haven't much but pines & a few spruce here... and trees do grow a lot faster in the long-summer country. Glad to hear you've made it through safely.

It was just a red oak. Nothing like a good hurricane to weed out all the weak trees for you! I’ve got some chain saw work ahead of me now though.

The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

We got a little wind. Spent time visiting with Crazy Lady's brother who decided to visit us on short notice. Waiting for damage reports from friends and family in Lake Charles.

Lots of wind. Small storm surge. There will be livestock deaths in Cameron Parish.

Oh ok thanks. Too many pages to go back seems like it went off topic anyway thats good. Water is starting to come up here. We get tidal flooding being close to the marsh on the north side of lake ponchatrain. Were suppose to get rain from the tail today but the constant south wind is way worse than the actual rain. So well see how it is this evening. I imagine flooded pretty good

The property behind me is full of half pine trees from Katrina. Aka hurricane missiles
