Kiki's Quail Cage Build

Pics
I'm pretty sure I can use the white shelving to hold poop trays.
I thinking I can use the metal stuff to make a roof!!!
:woot
I need to get that plywood off the bottom across the whole thing but I'm going to wait until I get it off of the tralier because I'm not sure if it's helping to hold the whole thing together or not.

2 cages are 30" x 24"= 5 square feet which equals 4-5 quail each.
1 cage is 24" x 24" = 4 square feet = 3 - 4 quail.

So this gives me enough room to grow out about 15 quail to butcher at 6-7 weeks where I can avoid fighting issues.
Maybe 20 if I push it.

I still have my other two quail cages that I can use for breeders/keepers. One is still empty.

I could use the empty one to grow out about ten quail do I can't potentially hatch in batches of 30.

I can buy rolls of 24 inch hardware cloth and start on one side...go over the top and down the other side and under the bottom with one long piece, I think.
I gotta figure out how to make it tight/up against the cage and make it stay.

Cutting it to fit each side makes a neater job, but it’s a PITA too

I use these U shaped staples in the corners, plus a few strategic places, then regular staples with a power stapler across the rest.
But these require hammering, unless you have a specialty stapler

My problem is there is not wood to hammer into.
Think just a metal cage by itself...I want to wrap each cage separately.
