Am I going to need to wrap the cages in hardware cloth some how too?
Those holes look too big to me.

I would say yes for the flooring but it does look like the flooring is a different size of openings. The sides would also benefit from hardware cloth if you are concerned about predators but should be good enough to keep the quail in if predators are not a concern.

Are you expanding the quail operation? I like the wire shelving one. I just got 2 more wire refrigerator shelves. What is the spacing on your wire shelves? less than 1/2"? Should be good. I'm thinking doors from the refrigerator shelves.

The bad part about the shelves, coons and dogs could bend or force through them. How much predator pressure at your place? Although that wire looks heavier than the frig shelving.

Batty definitely had something to do with this. I wouldn't be surprised if the Incubator Fairy did too. @Pugsabi is very sneaky. We should keep those 2 apart.

I've got a plan for mine, but not the time. Trying to pick up another crate for lumber today. Rain is here and won't be fun.

I'm thinking I need to trash everything on top and rebuild a roof over the three metal cages.

I'd be tempted to dismantle everything, hose it all down really well, and rebuild it. I see some feeders there too. Great find!

I may have missed a thread, or post.... are these for more quail or did you decide on rabbits?

Once I master butchering quail I want to get into meat rabbits. It's going to be a while so these are for quail.

I was going to work on taking all that crap off the top today but I have to use a socket.
