I never liked anything on sweet potatoes except occasionally butter. I scrub 'em up good, bake 'em in the oven (NO microwave!!! ) and eat 'em all by their little selves. I was perplexed when a friend asked for brown sugar. She wanted some on her sweet potato. Must be a "northie" thang?

Brown sugar and butter coked at the right temperature for the right amount of time on parboiled sweet potatoes makes candied sweet potatoes. I have a microwave version using sucralose that makes an okay version of candied sweet potatoes.

They put cayenne pepper n hot cocoa.

Cayenne is obscenely good on hot cocoa. Also very nice in steel cut oats with other spices... oh! Is that what your pa was mixing the cinnamon with, @KDOGG331 ? Cinnamon and cayenne... yum!

I'm rather surprised that no one "Wowed" any of my... rather violent posts in one of the other party threads. The ones concerning scalpels and jugular veins and dissecting a certain @RoosterML.
All in good humor, of course.
Also, sweet potatoes do sound delicious. I'll also keep in mind to not let KDOG cook them for me.

Yes!!! One of the grocery stores near me doesn’t sell sweet potatoes, only yams, and I got them once thinking they were the same thing, and was sorely mistaken.
