Poor Rosie was hiding during the storms today. She used to not mind storms but now she starts shaking uncontrollably and hides. I've tried everthing, distracting her with toys and treats, playing, holding her, trying to calm her down, but nothing works. She won't play or even eat a treat..
Now she's stealing toys and chewing on them so that's a good sign lol

I think you are reinforcing the fear unintentionally. Just ignore her during it or wait for her to be calm and reward that. Rewarding her while she’s acting scared is essentially telling her you want her to behave that way.

I do prefer my saddles with texture as opposed to a slick seat.

So. So. Stupid.

Feed that poor dude a cheeseburger or 6.

The hair is.... abundant. Much better than Kdog's baby faced boys though.

i have had modest success with chewable human b-12 vitamins for our dogs when the storms get really bad....

Hypothetical question for y'all:
(I'm half tempted to make this post into it's own thread later with better pics and graph paper drawings.)

If you had the space (AND your own backhoe) in your backyard, without any worry over HOA or city reg's as we are out in county only jurisdiction.
Would you :
A) actually dig the proper sized hole for a realistic pond for your Koi babies?
B) how close to the house would you put it?
C) Or just figure out a way to make some kind of built-in faux pond using the current horse troughs? (The small one is the entire natural filter unit)
That styrofoam is the temporary solar insulation to reduce the thermal saturation from direct sunlight.

(I have learned that for the koi to survive the occasional freezes and frost that the pond will.need to be a minimum of 48" deep for them the excape the ice and extreme summer hot water near and including the surface.)View attachment 2295029

What I did with my above ground pond was hid it sorta behind logs and it was next to my porch and wildflower bed. Once everything was grown, it wasn’t an eyesore. The hole was already dug for the pond we have/are working on, we are just leveling out the sides. To fill it, we had to move the drainage from the gutters away from the building, so we diverted water to the hole. We don’t have fish or filtration but it doesn’t stink anymore. I would dig a proper hole so you don’t have to move your fish. Koi will be fine as long as it’s not a total freeze. Maybe get a defroster made for ponds. Shade helps with keeping your pond cool. Like a lot. Plant bushes, I used tomatoe plants last summer. If you run power to the pond and need an outlet I would put it close. If not wherever.

Aaand I have a pack of dogs, attack cats, attack geese, vicious ducks, boxing rabbits, toads that I’ll make you lick, a tortoise that’ll catch you off guard, a turtle that’ll bite (unfortunately it’s not a snapper) and chickens that are pretty stupid so I wouldn’t worry about those. COME AT ME BRUH

Read the reviews of the animal injectables on amazon. I don’t think only animals receive them.
