Morning everyone. I have successfully got one of my broody girls moved and she is sitting. I tried to move my Ameraucana and she is just too high strung and refuses to be moved to the other coop so I will just make sure she doesn't have eggs to sit on and let her break herself. Daisy, on the otherhand, got moved yesterday and she took to the nest nicely. I only have her 3 eggs. At what point should I start counting days? As of yesterday? After 3 days?

Gorgeous! I love the lone crane centered in that top pic. I get a sense of stillness and beauty. As for that bottom pic, that is one olllllllllld tree. It is magnificent.

Me either, it's like not having a heater

I don't have air conditioning, and the only heater I have is an ancient wall heater without a thermostat.

actually I married a caucasian. I’m the Mexican well my ethnicity is, by blood I’m mixed with a lot (although I’ve never done any tests).

My husband actually laughs (in relief) that our kids got my tanning genes instead of his.

At least that is what I would have chosen. Hmmm... so many were saying it was a dif # than I would have thought. I suck at puzzles!

Well the run away hen has done it again. I can't find her anywhere. Oh, and one of my Marans has decided to join her in her travels, because I can't find her either. So now I have two missing hens. Hopefully they will find their way home this evening, I'll start looking for them early today. They have to be somewhere.

One can only hope. I really don't want to go thru this again. She keeps teaching my other hens bad habits, like hiding eggs.
At one point I thought all my hens stopped laying, then I found 2 piles of a total of 37 eggs.
