Let me tell you something...You need a birth certificate to renew your driver's license.


Never in my entire life have I needed my birth certificate to renew my driver's license until this year.

I'm still pretty pissed off about this.
I'm pissed that they didn't warn me.

I found out - the hard way - that the "Certificate of Live Birth" given to my parents WHEN I WAS BORN doesn't count. It has to be an honest-to-goodness, pay-extra-money-and-wait-in-line-for-it Birth Certificate! ZHEESH!!

It took the doctors weeks to figure out that's what he had. They didn't figure out why it killed him until the autopsy. In addition to type 2 diabetes, apparently he'd had cirrhosis of the liver (due to his weight) for the last 10-15 years. This compromised his immune system to the point that he couldn't resist it and it infected all of his sytems. He was on a respirator for his last month because it got into his lungs. If the Bartonella's (cat scratch fever) hadn't gotten to his brain, he still would have had brain damage from lack of oxygen.

Maybe it blew out of the back of a truck.
Maybe someone was using it as a water trough.

That has been a Federal requirement for at least 8 years. It also has to be a specific birth certificate. They wouldn't accept my birth certificate that the hospital issued. It had to be state issued. Once they have it on file you are good in the future.

Yeah well why didn't the jackasses tell me this 8 years ago so I could have been prepared?
I went at 6:00 in the morning to be the first one in line...once they told me they only except the first 10 people in line in the morning that do not already have an appointment.

Anyways I waited an hour and a half got my wristband so I could enter the building Come to find out they won't deal with me because I did not have my birth certificate.

I haven't needed my birth certificate probably in close to 25 years if not more.

I normally keep track of things very well but somehow my birth certificate disappeared.

Want to take a wild guess on how much it costs to order and expedite a birth certificate that may not even ship out within 10 days because of the Corona crap?

Over-reaching government.
I built a barn a few years back and didn't pull a county permit and the bastards used google earth and busted me! The County put a sign at my gate asking me to call the county tax assessor and the sumbitches added a few hundred bucks per year to my dang property taxes! Bastiches! All of them!

Been there, done that. I am pretty sure it was the contractor that built the basement walls that turned me in. Had to go get an actual permit to finish the building.
