Believe it or not, most porn sites are pretty clean, malware wise. There's a lot of money in porn, so they have the money to hire good systems administrators.

The worst sites for malware are the casual game sites (especially flash games) and game hacking sites that every teen seems to visit.

Also not to go back to this but my bank is very small and local and they’re very nice there so I like actually going to the physical bank. Plus it’s right down the street so not worth having it on the phone for me when I can just go there and deal with very nice people. My brother has Capital One and does online banking which is fine, it works for them because they’re very busy and I don’t think there’s many branches here, but he’s always trying to get me to do online banking and as much as I like phones, I still prefer physical banking and dealing with local people not a 1-800 number.

Yeah I’m sure all the big ones would go out of business if people’s tech was being crashed or whatever.

The game ones I believe! Those things are loaded with pop ups and ads and all sorts of crap. There used to be a really popular one with a million different games and quizzes that everyone used when I was in middle school. I’m sure it’s been shut down now.

What would they steal though? Assuming they rig the app to steal stuff off the entire phone and not just the videos in the app?

They could get ALL SORTS of information. People use their phones for everything, these days, from ordering food and prescriptions to maintaining their finances to filing taxes electronically, so there could be LOTS of sensitive info exposed:

Identities
Phone numbers
Credit Card data
Login data for your private accounts.
Links to your home computer & the info on it (like taxes, finances, personal records, etc ...)

Nope ... that's why I maintain a hard-wired land line and a "dumb phone" not a smart or iphone. I even closed a store account when I found out they tracked it using my SS# (Kohl's, FYI)

We can't always keep everything protected, but we can at least do what we can to minimize what outsiders have access to!
