I’m not a breeder or anything. I just like having them for the eggs and their personalities/looks

The most I’ve had at once I think is like 22 or 23. I have 21 now.

That’s a lot for me considering I started with 8 just 5 years ago and added all the rest within the last like year

I also free range mine most days and it’s harder for me to keep track of everybody the more I have. Not that I need to but I am paranoid and go count them all several times throughout the day when they’re out or if I don’t see them

I also bought an incubator last year and have hatched 3 times already (twice myself and one broody) and got some roosters the chicks are his. Am I redeemed yet!? LOL

I previously would have been tempted by the chicks but I am trying to turn over a new leaf and/or show restraint

It must be working cause I wasn’t even tempted at all this time lol
