Killed that possum!

We have been killing coons and opossums that killed my expensive pheasants! Up to 14 coons, 2 opossums and one stray cat. Plus putting up electric wire to fry them if any more come!

I'm becoming more and more intrigued by this electric wiring idea. How did you set yours up?

Its cool. I'm overly defensive sometimes as well. I hope I can fix it all myself. Funny thing is this whole chicken raising thing was my daughter and husbands idea but now I'm the one doing all the work to raise them and keep them safe! They even have a cute little handwritten contract between the two of them that they both signed! My only job was supposed to be to collect eggs on the days my daughter can't. Now I'm doing everything!!!

Maybe you should pin the contract on the fridge

I do everything for mine too but it was my idea. My dad won't even go in cause he's supposedly "scared" of them and claim they peck him. Funny thing is he's a big guy. But annoyingly, he'll tell me "oh they're out of food" or whatever but he won't fix it himself... even though the food is right next to the coop. Yet he eats all the eggs lol

But oh well.

Btw they rarely get out of food but sometimes he'll notice before I do because we wakes up so early but makes a point to tell me rather than toss some food in lol maybe I need a feeder that's refillable from the outside or something.

Oh yes definitely, relocating is too cruel to the individual animal. It would be disposed of. I have other livestock in danger too, not just my beloved chickens.
