Kind of confused...

My guess is she is a brown Leghorn crossed with something else. She may be one of the new blue/green layer hybrids from the hatcheries that just happens to lay pink eggs instead, or she could have been created by a backyard breeder. Her coloring is not right for purebred light brown Leghorn females.

Ok thanks for the help all. She probably is a mix. For those of you that say her coloring is not right, is it that she is a lighter brown than most BLHs?

Her back is mostly reddish. It should be brown, stippled all over with tiny black dots, in that area for a light brown leghorn. And her breast should be clearly delineated with a different color, salmon.

How old is she and how long has she been laying?

That egg looks similar to my egg yesterday from my bo.
So this hen was sold to me as a Welsummer pullet. To me she looks like a brown leghorn (easy mistake too make) what confuse me is that she lays light brown almost pinkish eggs.

Anybody have an idea what kind of chicken I have?View attachment 2471819
