Winter shook her head. "No. I w-was abandoned, " she said quietly.

Tithae tilted his head down and showed an expression like knowing he knew what Winter would answer. "Typical," he simply said. "My brother and I was abandoned too. We never knew our parents. Of course we looked for them during our travels, but it led nowhere... even till this day." Tithae started to think about his brother. "Come to think of it, dying wouldn't be that bad for me because I know Antien will be there. And if my parents are dead, I would know then."

"B-but you still h-have so much t-to live for. I know w-we're both a-as good as d-dead, but you still s-shouldn't think that w-way, " Winter said.
