Kirby Vacuums ::::Another UPDATE >:(::::

A-hem,
I believe it is a "home cleaning system"! I had one for 6-7 years and the first 3, I was convinced it was the best ever but then I hated pushing it around! I remember when I demo'd, they had it turned off and had me pull it back and forth so I could appreciate how easily it rolled. After I used it a while and the honeymoon was over, it just seemed to beat me up by pushing and pulling that thing around!
I got a Rainbow-no bags, no dust-it all collects in water and is a wet/dry vacc.

Ok so I think I just totally got gyped!

So they just picked it up and GUESS WHAT?!?
We owe them $50 because they said it got scratched here.
BULL! As soon as they left I put everything by the front door where it wasnt touched again.
They said there was something on the handle that looked like a dog licked it..
I guess if I wanted to protest they would just blame it on my kids.

I am so angry right now! They said..
'We can take it out of the check or you can pay me cash'

I called my SO and hand him talk to the guy and the man said he has to come back tomorrow with a check.
I SWEAR! I saw what looked like a dirty mark on it when they took it out of the box. The guy just kept blaming me for it.

I dont want to loose $50 because they sold me a scratched machine!

I dont know what to do at this point..

But what do I say to them?

I saw the spots they were talking about WHILE the guy was cleaning them but I just figured it was a possible mix from the baking soda and water or maybe it was from previous cleanings.
...I swear I thought what they were cleaning the house with was just a model they use and then they leave you with a new one... but no! They leave you with what they just used and could have used in 10 other houses!

The guy claimed... 'Well we dont leave scratched machines with customers' but I didnt see either of them look over the machine before they left!

I just looked at reviews from Z&Z Enterprises (the company that sold it to me) and a previous employee said the owner scames his own employees and wont pay them.
The actual sales guy kept apologizing everytime his boss would leave the room but would get all quiet again everytime he came back. The sales guy even followed me into another room and kept saying 'I wish I could do something, Im really sorry'

If he uses the vacuum for other houses they he's in the wromg, he scratched it. I would not give him the cheque and I would call the company to complain!

When the come for the check have a deputy waiting in the drive. Any damages that they claim is there they need to take up in civil court otherwise they are up a creek without a paddle. Don't let them strong arm you.

I know! I felt so helpless..

It was little me with my two kids against 2 men one very large telling me its all my fault and I have to pay $50 to get it cleaned.
I dont even know if they are really going to bring the check back at this point! He took the bottom half of the paper saying the return had taken place

I really want to call my dad because hes really good with this kind of thing but honestly Im so embarrassed and would probly burst out into tears

If you don't give him a check, what is he going to do> What can he do? I would not give him a check or cash. Period. Remind him that the item did not get damaged at your place. And if he gives you any guff, call the cops and have him removed from the premises. The best defense is a spirited offense.
