my husband used to be a kirby salesman. $1250 is the price they want u to pay after all it is a top of the line sweeper.
if u call them and tell them u want to return it because after thinking about it u really just cannot afford that price, he said they should be able to drop the price in half, they don't like to loose sales.
he has seen salesmen sell them for half price but he says only the manager has the power to drop the price that low. u have that 3 days to decide because of high pressure sales which is what they do which is what they train them to do. he couldn't pressure people to buy a sweeper he couldn't afford so he quit said it wasn't right. in all honesty i'd return it and buy a bissel at walmart but that is just me,lol. if u really want a kirby which they r a good sweaper and they won't come down put an ad on like craiglist or something looking for one to get a used one cheaper. hubby says the higher the generation the better more advanced they are. he said with all attachments when he worked for them they weighed about 40-50lbs they r made of cast aluminum so they r very heavy. newer generations maybe a little lighter now not sure.
hope that helps ya some.
