"Oh boy..." Yosuke took a deep breath and rattled off the rules.

"No fighting, no running in the halls, no questions in class, no talking back to your teachers, no talking to your teachers for that matter, curfew begins at 8 PM and ends at 6 AM, no leaving Kisaragi, no doing your own chores, no MP3 players, no cell phones, no rumors, no cursing, no religion, do not come to class without your uniform looking pristine, and finally... No making friends." He sighed. "Make sure to write it all down!"

"Yeah, it sucks." Yosuke glanced down at the hill, where Mao was still frolicking about. "Been there, done that, got the scars to prove it. Remember, violate any and you're beaten!" He looked up at the setting sun. "Oh boy, we better hurry if we want to see Tsubaki before curfew happens."

"Yeah," Kiku replied. Several stands of her straight, long hair swivelled up in the breeze like Alexandria's.

"Come on, Mao!"

"Ah, coming Yosuke!"

Mao ran up the hill, panting as she and the group trudged on to the sector Yosuke was talking about. "There's this great mall there that offers Summer Jobs every year! It's superb, and they have a really good food court too." He droned on and on regarding the mall as the group walked towards Tsubaki. "...And they have oatmeal, too! ...Hey, something's up ahead." He pointed towards a large gathering of people, with a husky, male voice telling them to "Stand back, nothing to see here!"

"Dunno." He shrugged. Mao suddenly darted ahead of the group, running in between gaps in the crowd. "H-Hey, Mao!" Yosuke called out in vain.
