Kissing my Chickens?

I know this is going to seem idiotic, but can I get any sort of sickness from kissing my chicks & chickens? I'm always kissing my silkies on their heads and it just dawned on me after reading about all the mites and diseases,etc. I'm glad nobody here knows who I am!

I think you're probably ok--just a peck on the head is harmless enough...I know it's a bit silly.......just don't kiss their little booties!

It's probably safe to kiss your chickens, just be sure to post the video on youtube for us!

I would be careful that they don't try to 'kiss' you back though and peck your eyeball or take a chunk outta your lip.

Well we haven't gotten any dread diseases yet and we've been kissing them for over 2 years!!
