Hi fellow chicken parents! I am curious as to whether you advise feeding my chickens kitchen scraps. I basically throw all cooking scraps and leftovers outside and hope the chickens will only eat what is beneficial to them and leave the rest. FYI, I am a vegetarian who eats mostly organic, non-gmo foods.

Hello:frow
Welcome to BYC!!
So glad to have you here!!
Thanks for sharing your story!!
There are many people on here that are ready to help in anyway they can!
The learning center also has alot of great information on it as well!

I'm going to be honest I do throw my kitchen scraps out to the chickens or crows "everything except toxic foods" and they eat what they want and move on. The chickens don't gorge on the scraps mostly the crows benefit which is fine because they're handy.:)

Yes! They will love table scraps. That's what my chickies diet is mainly consisted of with the option of chicken feed 24/7. Just avoid to many acidic foods, chocolate, and avocados.
