Kitty and Dog Thread, Show Me What You Got, other critters welcome too

I filled up my pond, but it's too cool to move my goldfish outside. They can handle cooler temperatures but I'd prefer for it to stay above 50 before they go out.

Should I be posting this on the pond thread... if there is one ... sorry!

I think it’s okay since it’s still about critters but idk. I don’t think there is a pond thread but maybe we should make one I do have a fish thread though haha

I don't mind one bit. Any critter talk is fine here with me. I haven't been saying much. My kitty hasn't returned, so I'm a bit sad yet about that. I still enjoy reading what others are up to. So chat way.

That makes sense!! Maybe I should wait a bit then or do you think they’ll be okay?? It’s pretty warm during the day (like 50s-60s) but still getting down into the 40s at night.

A few night dipping down isn't too bad as long as it's getting warmer during the day. The water will hold heat. So if days are above 50-60 you should be okay. It's been slow to warm up here this year. We are expecting a warmer weekend, but back to the 50's next week, so I'm gonna wait another week or two here. Usually I get mine out by mid May.

Okay thank you!! I think it’s actually supposed to be mid 60s the next 4 days so now’s the perfect time to do it haha although I think the area is somewhat shady but not too bad. It does get sun.

This year has been really warm and early spring haha last year was extremely cold and rainy and I probably wouldn’t have been able to move them out till like June

It was seriously cold and horrible until then lol

One of my niece's has a litter of kittens. Hopefully in about 5 weeks I will be a kitty owner again. I said I'd take all 4 that she has left. Time to build a temporary kitten pen.

Yes he is a long haired chihuahua his name is truffles and my cat is called pearl
