Kitty and Dog Thread, Show Me What You Got, other critters welcome too

@oldhenlikesdogs Thanks, I work hard on giving them ridiculous names.
I adopted Guaraha when he was about a year and a half old, so I only had him about a year and a half myself. It was still sad to have to let him go but it wasn't fair to ask him to keep going when he was having so much trouble.
Since many cats are disposable, and live even shorter lives than Guaraha did, you should feel good you gave him a good home, and cared for him while he was here. Many kitties don't get that. You are a good soul to try to help him, and to help him leave when it was his time.

Aw yes this is my jam. *cracks knuckles*
I'm a registered veterinary technician and for the past three years I've worked at a cat-only practice. That's right--all cats, only cats, all the time. Cats are so weird, I love them. Of course I have some of my own.

This is Miss Shadow Sillycat-boo, Queen of the Sillycats. She's violently allergic to beef and fleas. She is super talkative and has about thirty different words, unfortunately I don't know what any of them mean.

She's turning 11 in December. Being a senior kitty means her vet visits are more involved these days. She turns into a wild murderbeast for them, which is embarrassing for me, being a vet tech. Thank goodness for sedation, and her singular obsession with treats to distract her.

Shadow with Guaraha of the Fluffy Butt, aka Floofy-doofy-shark-a-poofy, aka Poofimus Doofimus Maximus. He was absolutely the worst cat ever. I mean he was sweet but he had a billion health problems and if he could fit something in his mouth, he was going to eat it. My cable cord, the drawstrings from my pajama pants, my socks, my blankets, delicious spicy chicken legs right out of the oven... He had bad hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and some weird problem with how he processed drugs which made him overly sensitive to the medications he needed for his heart, and not sensitive at all to sedatives. Unfortunately his heart disease got the better of him and I had to let him go at the age of 3.

Then I got this little monster, Kitty-boo Squeakmuffin Purrmonster, aka Kibu. She just stares at me like that all day and purrs. She is freaking obsessed with bugs and the laser pointer and is bossier than heck to Shadow, but is extremely timid when at the vet clinic, or when other people come to my house. She's 3 now but still thinks she's a kitten.
They are so cute! And I just LOVE all the funny :lol: nicknames that you have for them! Whenever you love and adore something so much it always winds up with a bunch of silly nicknames... I even have songs and little poem like sayings that are different for each :D

Here’s the boys... they’ve picked their spots :D... of course fat Bobby picks the most precarious one...

@WhoDatChick But of course!
I've been looking for a little hammock seat like that for Shadow, I think she'd find it just as cozy as your guy does.

Chewy has about a a bazillion cat trees haha I just started looking after I saw @WhoDatChick picture. I am actually having quite a hard time deciding :lau they have all different sizes/heights as well as many different styles and perches, etc. including quite a few with said hammock/cup thing haha
