Klutzy ducks-my Pekins

@llombardo
I agree with Julie Birb-not pathetic at all. I think it's cute! as is your Sunshine!
I have conversations with my critters...sometimes forced conversations ;):"Wait, come back..I wasn't done talking yet" or "I just want to love you, don't leave".

Love the pics- sweet babies! How old are they?

It's not at all stupid that they are important to you! Sounds about right to me. Every critter that lives here is a pet and companion...I get attached to them, learn their personalities, love them and it hurts when it's time to let one go!! They aren't "just" animals to me and yours are still in the house, which is basically the same thing as having a cat or dog in the house, so they are obviously bonded to you and you to them.

That is adorable that they stretch out to look for you and beep at you. Are they going to stay in the house permanently or will you eventually move them outside?

What kind of pen do you have them in? I got a little bit of a glimpse in the pics so I saw just enough that I'm curious-I'm always interested in new ideas!
They are five weeks and two days lol
I have them in two connected Intex pools it's about 8 by 4 I have to gate around the outside soon since they got so tall
They are absolutely going to have a outdoor pen we are in the process of moving to a bunch of land so I will have those pictures as soon as my life is done rotating ;) like 6 months or so
They are going to be indoor outdoor babies I'll bring them in the house at night and they will be outside during the day ;)
Like a doggy door kinda thing if they wanna come in or go out maybe

That's a really neat idea. I didn't realize there were Intex pools that small-are they like kiddie pools? How do you clean it out? I'm imagining that you just scoop it out and add more bedding? Do you use a liner under the bedding to make it easier to clean? Sorry for all the questions-I'm very intrigued!

So what what other critters are you going to get to fill up your land lol?
I have heard of ducks using a doggie door and I think it's an awesome idea-lucky little ducks!

Okay doll
They were kinda neat I was looking for something I could set up take down wipe down so a pool sounded the best and these are so light I can take them outside and rinse them off
Umm the cleaning thing I am OCD so it gets cleaned top to bottom every night
I do just that
I scoop it all out wipe it down with soap and water kinda mixture I don't do anything chemical around them
It sounds like a lot but I get it done in less than 15 mins it's the first thing I do while they swim I clean :)
No liner I thought the pool bottom was enough to just wipe out
I can't even imagine adding more babies to my litter
I had no idea how attached I would be so I have these two and two pups
And the land has cows chickens and some horses already
I'm gonna be the only one with ducks they all think they are to messy
Which lets face it they are
But story of my life cleaning after everyone why not clean up something I love ❤️
Here some pic of the pools in boxes

@DuckyLovin2
I used the bottom of a very large dog house for our ducklings-it worked great but it was a nightmare to carry/drag out of the house and it was heavy! It took me way longer than 15 mins. I may have to check and see if our Walmart has any of these before the babies arrive.

Oh that's nice that there's already farm critters on the land! I think you're going to get addicted to the ducks and end up with a few more at some point ;)

I understand cleaning up after everyone else-I seem to do a lot of that also.

Thank you for explaining all that and adding the pics of the pools.
