KO SHAMO. The magnificent, intelligent, friendly true bantams' thread.

In these photos, they are 7 & 3 wks. of age. Rosebud had very little patience for the younger chicks, and I had to put concerted effort into making sure that the chicks would not be pecked by her. They are very gentle and affectionate towards their clutch mates, but, in my experience, discovered that it is not good idea to mix different age group of chicks.

Ko Shamo is one of the Oriental Game Birds who are to have "split wings" which I would like to share some photos of my birds' wings. They are fine examples of " split wings".

My oldest pair of KO Shamo (4 1/2 mos. old) attended their very first show this weekend Central PA Avian Club in Pennsylvania). Lilly, my pullet got a "Reserve Breed". My cockerel did not do anything exciting, there was an older, much more mature cockerel there that got Best of Breed". At least my boy got some experience under his wing, lol, as we have another show to go to on the 17th.

Above are a couple shots of "Lilly". I love her soft beautiful color.
Below is my cockerel:

And, below is the winning bird, owned by Jim Zook of Pennsylvania. This exhibitor also won show CH with his LF Cubalaya.

I'd like to thank Lual sooo very much for sending me this beautiful pair of birds!
