Thanks. I saw the chowhound website. I haven't looked around for anything the past few days. I don't know if the nutroll is it. I know my grandmother called it kolach, but who knows. I'm staying home from work tomorrow (it's snowing AGAIN!!), so baking sounds like a good idea. I'll let you know how the nutroll comes out.

Hey, if you are still looking, let me know... my family is Slovak on my mother's side, and we still have Kolach that she makes every year... it is as you describe, rolled up like a log or at least in little individual logs, if I remember correctly. If you are still interested, I can ask her for the recipe!
