How far are you from Columbia? I'm in need of a BCM rooster

Mojo, turkeys are hard to hatch if you haven't done it before from my understanding. You'd be better off buying young or started poults. Unless you hatch them under a hen, they are very fragile as babies.

I'm in search of the following roosters (again

Partridge bantam cochin
BTW japanese
White silkie

The dang dogs have been having a field day with my poor birds

I've never had any issue raising Turkey Poults. They are like any other baby, you may lose one or two. The eggs incubate well in a cabinet incubator..much better than in a LG or similar type. I also hatch a lot of my Royal Palm and Black Spanish under my Cochins..they do a great job making Turkey babies. I have five of them now from a late summer hatch that one of my Cochin girls hatched out for me.

I don't know why people say turkey poults are hard to raise. I raised them in Wisconsin and I'm raising them here just as easily.

I would trade some RP chicks for some Narragansett. My friend would like them. He keeps all different breeds than what I have. I have Black Spanish and Royal Palms..he only has Calicos at this point, so we need a breed that I don't have. I will probably have some of the Black Spanish available also..but I have more of the Royal Palms.

I don't think Meri has turkeys..correct me if I am wrong.

Also, I have someone looking for a young Standard Black Cochin Roo..any chance that is what you have??
