I might go to the swap for a look/see. Maybe meet some nice folks... I just came back from Etown where I picked up 18 blr wyandotte chicks from Jerry and Rebecca. Their birds are spectacular. I have some welsummer and ee pullets (6 weeks) from Welp that I hope to breed for olive egger chicks for next year's swap.

I have decided to sell a pair of my Royal Palms. She is a good layer but insists on crowding one of the other hens who is sitting on eggs. She will need to be somewhere where she can't do this. I'm sure she will get over it in time, but I don't really have any where to seperate her so that she has to use her own nest. Both her and the Tom are in their first breeding season.
$60 for the pair.

I'm going to try to be there. Don't know what I could bring though. I've pretty much culled most of mine so far.

Cool, I hope there will be a good turnout. This will be my first time going so I really dont know what to expect, lots of people with beautiful chickens around here though

I will have some babies from my RIR and Denizli Longcrower hens crossed with RIR, bantam Cochin and Jpanese bantam roos and hopefully some Khaki Campbells I can bring

If I could talk Hubby into it, you know I'd be knocking on your barn door in a heartbeat. I could put them in with the ducks.... yeah, with the ducks... they wouldn't be a problem.... no problem at all....

Ya think that would convince him?

Well..you would probably have a baby raised for Christmas if you got them now. I do hate to part with any of them..they really are gorgeaus. But she is messing up my hatching. She's young and I know she will get over it if she is just separated for a while. She may be trying to lay in the other hen's nest..I'm not sure. But she crowded her last time also. I am building a temporary pen for her with her nest in it. just in case no one buys her and the Tom.

Work on him...turkeys are great fun to have around!!

Oh..I also have some Muscovy babies for sale.

Hey spydertoys, I have some 10' hog panels just laying around, would work great for a turkey pen (if you don't have a huge predator problem). I'll have to see how many there are before I could figure up how much to ask for them. I had gotten them when I was going to get turkeys of my own, but so far I only have one. I believe there are 10 or 12 of the things, so I know I won't be needing that many!
