I Know, Right!!
First eggs can often be softshelled.
A coop full or pullets is a great time to start doing butt checks.

I was giving them organic starter crumbles and last week I started trying the organic layer pellets which they did not seem to like. I am now giving them organic layer grain mix, which they seem to love! So that will be what they will be eating in the future. They free range about four hours a day in my organic garden eating various greens and fruit and I gave them treats of sunflower seed‘s, meal worms, watermelon, bread and corn. I have been giving them oyster shell for the past week, but they don’t really seem to eat that too much. They peck at it every once in a while. In the beginning yes its common. What feed are you giving them and are you providing oyster shells?
