Labored breathing and does not want to walk

One of my hens (about 3-4 years old) is huddled up and does not (or can’t) walk. I placed her separately from the rest and I couldn’t seem to feel anything indicating she is egg bound. It does seem like she is trying to pass something though….. any thoughts on what this might be or how I may be able to help her?

It may be vitamin d deficiency.

How is she doing now?

You mention she seems like she's trying to pass something - is she pooping?
Have you felt inside the vent for an egg?

I'd get Extra Calcium into her asap. You can find Calcium Citrate with D3 at Walmart, CVS, etc. Just pop 1 tablet into the beak and let her swallow.

Work on getting fluids into her. Sugar water or electrolytes.

Is she's stressed, lethargic or not very responsive, do not soak her.
