So I have a hen that is five months old And I recently noticed her open mouth breathing. I separated her immediately and she is now very labored breathing shaking head often and doing a weird gasp occasionally. The only other thing I’ve noted is that her poop is very bright green. No diarrhea and no swelling or nasal discharge. I’ve tried deworming her, but I’m on day three of that and I’m scared to try to administer more dewormer in fear, she may aspirate. She’s not drinking or eating. Her comb and waddle is a deep magenta color from lack of oxygen. Anyone know or have had this experience? Everyone else seems healthy and fine. I was thinking E. coli infection… The dewormer hasn’t seemed to help so I’m guessing it’s not parasitic like gape worm. She does appear to have small white growth on the corner of her mouth… maybe avian canker
