Should wyandotte lacing be fairly good from the start. Or does it get better with age. kinda new to paying attention to detail.

Depends what you mean.
If they do not have good lacing, say, by point of lay, or before, then they will not have good lacing.

POL being an age (18weeks) rather than age of first egg.

I guess if you compare a 6 or 8 month old to say a 2 year old. on my blues the older birds have better lacing than some of the younger birds just wondering if it takes a while or if I should be able to tell the better birds by a certain age.

If they're not good by 6 months, I can't imagine they're going to be getting much better. One ought to be able to tell whether the lacing is good before 6 months.
