Corn and other starchy treats should comprise less than 10% of their overall diet or you will have fat and unhealthy birds. It's the equivalent of us eating chips and candy.

The hens may wonder where David went. Even if they didn't like him, every change seems to stress them.. Maybe they think he was dragged off by predators. They should get back to normal soon. If all the broodies hatch eggs - are you prepared for a bunch of little chicks?? Welcome to BYC.
