After the little guy was hatched, we moved the family to safer quarters. All the other ladies had to come inspect and offer congradulations

That happened when my first chick hatched also, all the birds ran over and squalked and carried on over the new baby, it was so funny.

I wish my chickens were like that. They reached through the bars and ate one of the chicks the first time she went broody. Now I keep the chicks out of the coop!
