Good day, all! I have a Blue/Splash Wyandotte chick whose gender I'm uncertain on. I have my suspicions, but I'd like some second opinions, please. This is Stevie. He/she is about 3 weeks old. No matter the gender, I plan to keep this chick, so I don't care if it's male or female. What do you think?

If additional angles are required, just say so and I'd be happy to get some more pics!

Looks like a boy to me!

Yup that fuzzy head makes me think boy. Seems like the boys have furry heads longer and the hens get the neck and head along with the wings a little faster. I have to say though, the splash that I have left ----this little guys sibling----is feathering in much slower even than Stevie. So if yours is a roo, mine is def going to be a roo! Yours is going to be one pretty bird. Love the markings on his face.

I vote male as well. Something about his stance isn't henly at all.

No clue but he/she is adorable

Thanks all

I will surely update this thread when I figure it out for certain!

Hey hey! I've got some updated pictures of this little one. I thought for sure that it was a he, until recently I noticed some trademark signs missing (red wattles and face, showy tail, pointy hackle and saddle feathers) Now I am really wondering if this is a she. Have a look, see:

The images are not the best, as this one is a bit camera shy. S/he has a black Wyandotte sister that looks very similar in the rounded feathering and under-developed face. Opinions?

1st set of pics chick is way to young to tell
2nd set of pics that is a pullet
