Ladybugs....no...wait.... any ideas?

Your ladybugs will be heading out of the house about the same time your chicks do. They like to "over winter" in warm places like house. I've got them in all the corners of my rooms. People freak when they see them but they don't cause no harm and leave as soon as it gets warm.

Diazinon is illegal to use unless it was purchased before the end of 2004. It is still legal for agricultural use. (I wish I knew this then I would have bought gallons of it, it really works well)

I did use the last of mine two years ago, I would spray around the house and there would be dead LBs / ABs outside the windows and doors for weeks. If I could find some I would use it....

Here is something I read about dogs and lady bugs...

have reliable sources, and have not been warned about them. What you are seeing is likely Japanese Lady Beetles, an invasive species that has been around for a while. They seem to come in the house in the fall and die. Under housekeeping advice, I have heard they are harmless, just sweep them up and dispose of them. Just because they don't eat your house doesn't make them entirely harmless.

Unfortunately, if you don't beat her to them, then may eat them and upset her stomach. I doubt they are poisonous, but almost anything strange can upset a dogs digestion. You certainly don't want the mess, or her to lose the food she ate. No fun for her either. It might not hurt to talk to the vet. Of course to cover himself, he may say bring her in and it will be $50 for him to say what I said for free.

I dont know if dogs and chickens are the same but...

I don't think it was the ladybugs... now that I see what everyones had to say I don't think they're toxic to them... they fly in the cage and out... and they other little guy is fine... I just honestly dont understand what went wrong because one day he was so healthy...

I'm sorry for your loss

Well, my lonely guy just got 20 new friends from ideal today. I ordered 25, I'll just figure out what I want to go along with my other 5 they forgot to include... he he he... actually, it might work out because I didn't think I'd get away with any more chicks, because my 5 that were forgotten need warmth... might just have to have them ship a couple more out with the forgotten chicks.

He is quite happy though. He is BIG.

Sad thing though is I lost one of the yokohamas that came today. All of my yokohamas seemed to be weak so they were separated. The other 5 yokohamas came around but this little guy didnt. Poor guy.
