Laid intact yolk but still eggbound?

Hi everyone. So update. Her poops got gradually more and more solid. Didn't see a shell or anything resembling a shell. She has since started acting normal, figured we were past this, and we integrated her back into flock. However, she's losing weight/not eating. Or at least, she's not eating enough to maintain weight. Any thoughts? She isn't acting abnormal for now... Hasn't laid an egg tho either.

I'd probably take her to the vet honestly. So many hens die from reproductive system issues.

I'm sitting here reading this being paranoid and thinking about getting all my girls hormone implants before they even start laying. I don't care about eggs. I just don't want anything to happen to them.

Not eating and losing weight is not a good sign. Something is going on. If you have a vet that sees birds that is always best, but I know many do not. The abnormal egg could indicate a reproductive problem.

If you can't find a vet that will see a chicken, ask if they will give you an antibiotic for her. My hunch is she has an infection.
