Lake City Poultry Show-

WOO HOO can't wait for this show to get here!

buck - it is 'free' and 'open to the public'. It is worth the drive, especially since it is the ABA Nationals this year.

Volume - You do not have to have won in a previous show. Anyone with a Show Quality bird may enter. You can contact the Show Secretary and request a Show Catalog. It will have the rules and requirements and entry form in it. Ribbons, plaques, trophies are the prizes. You will learn a lot about showing birds, and a great majority of the poultry people there will be more than happy to talk to you about their birds. Be sure to pick up the 'exhibitors list' at the check in table when you get there. Every exhibitor is assigned a number and that number will also be on the coop card of their birds. You will be able to tell whose birds they are and it will also have contact info on it.

fivestring - There will be some birds there for sale. There will be a sale area away from the show area for breeders to sell surplus birds.

I can't find an official website or anything. I see the county fairgrounds has a site, but their calendar doesn't list it!

When will they be doing the judging? Can you watch? Hubby and I would like to watch the judging and see how it's done.

When are all the prizes awarded?

The judging begins at 9 am on Saturday morning. As long as you are not in the isle with the judge you can watch his every move. You will see a number of exhibitors there Cage Hanging.
The awards will be given out on Sunday morning
