I have a Lakenvelder pullet/hen who we got in mid-July. According to the previous owner, she should be about 26 weeks right now. She hasn't started laying yet but I've noticed in the last week or two her comb has faded from a bright red to a dull red/dark pink. She also appears to be losing a lot of feathers. Do you think there is something wrong? Is she supposed to molt this early? Thanks!
