A guard toppled over Kate, knocking her off of Cairo to protect him. "How dare you harm the leader! Someone, get the snake in here!" Another guard ran off and skidded around the corner while another pack of around 20 dogs came charging around the corner.

A dog toppled him over and pinned him to the ground while another 4 came along, grabbed him by his legs, and stretched them as far as they could without risking tearing them off. The guard who had run out to get the snake had charged back in to the second in command of the guards.
"Boss, the snake isn't there!"

"What do you mean she's not there?!"

"Exactly that! She's not in her room!"

"Without the snake how will the poison be administered to them?!" Another guard asked.

"You go search for her! And as for you, go heal Cairo!" The dog ordered. One guard ran over to Cairo and dragged him off down the hall while the other ran outside as he searched for the snake.

Meanwhile, Noss had healed Madara's wounds a few hours ago and were now set off for the castle in the Black Forest. They were now almost out of the arctic and were approaching the lake.
 
Pacu lunged at the first dog grabbing him by the throat
 
Kate ripped Cairo from the dogs grasp, sending him flying against the stone wall so hard he went right through. She took off into the forest, Cairo bouncing behind as she tore across the ground, dodging around trees and leaping over fallen logs.
 
Olivia quickly followed behind Kate
