The figure, however, was lightning quick, and dodged right before she was caught. She flew off into the air, soaring at an amazing speed.

The brothers soared after them on carpets of fire.

Though the figure, the fire revealing it to be a gryphon, was in much pain from her burns, she flew through and held onto Sara tightly, determined to keep her from being wounded any further.

Before the hounds could see it happening the first gryphon gently gave Sara over to another gryphon, who flew off before the hounds could stop her. The same gryphon then continued on in view of the hounds.

They threw balls of fire at the gryphon.

The gryphon was burned badly and tumbled to the ground.

Kenai and the others dropped down beside her, covering her in a net.

 

[OwlLover]

However, in a flash, the gryphon seemed to poof into thin air.

 

[LittleLady98]

"YOU LOST THE REBELS!!!!!!" Kenai roared at his brothers.

The real gryphon was already long gone.
